Town Center at Aurora Welcomes Holiday Season with Full Sleigh of Winter Activities

Activities incorporate local organizations and community members to celebrate the holidays together

Aurora, CO (November 1, 2021) – Town Center at Aurora is ready to shine for the holiday season. With a full list of holiday activities lined up, friends and families can celebrate the season in their own unique style whether that’s sipping cocoa or parading around with Santa.

“The holidays are an important time for our community to gather, celebrate our loved ones and share gratitude,” said Joel Boyd, General Manager at Town Center at Aurora. “We are proud to offer events and activities that bring people together to ignite the spirit of the season, while also supporting our local small businesses.”

Town Center at Aurora festivities include:

Santa’s Arrival:

Town Center at Aurora will celebrate Santa’s arrival at the town center with a parade. On November 19th 4:30pm-6:30pm, Santa will parade throughout Town Center at Aurora with reindeer and carolers. The event will also feature Shelby’s Sugar Shop, holiday craft and plenty of holiday cheer to go around.

KIDX Club® Holiday Crafts:

With all the fun happening around the holiday season, it’s important to keep our minds growing too. Kids ages four to 10 can learn about different cultures and traditions celebrated around the world during the KIDX Club® holiday events. On November 24th, November 29th and December 27th, Town Center at Aurora will host special holiday crafts to teach families about Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa with books provided by Aurora Public Library.

Sensitive Santa®:

For children on the autism spectrum and those with related sensory sensitivities, a Santa visit can often mean crowded spaces, long lines and a swirl of competing noise that can create an overstimulating and upsetting environment. Sensitive Santa® provides a magical experience for guests and is hosted before the town center opens. Santa has been especially trained and takes cues from parents and caregivers in order to meet each child’s individual needs. Sensitive Santa will take place on December 5th, 9:00 AM-10:30 AM and will include crafting corners, Santa selfie stations, and healthy snacks. Advance registration is required.

Paws & Claus:

Town Center at Aurora wants to make sure our furry friends get everything on their holiday lists this year. Dog and cat owners are invited to mix and mingle as they get their favorite pet’s photos taken with Santa at Paws & Claus on December 6th, 6 PM-8 PM. Pets will toy giveaways, and ugly sweater contests.

Holiday Paint & Sip:

Look no further than Town Center at Aurora for your next great holiday masterpiece. Bring your friends and creativity for our Holiday Paint and Sip. Enjoy music by Cat on the Keys while you paint and sip. Guests must register and be 21 to enjoy wine being served.

Events With Santa:

There is magic in the holiday season—especially when Santa comes to town. On December 10th 4:30 PM-6:30 PM, Town Center at Aurora invites families with children ages two to 10 to hear a story from Mr. Claus, pass on their wish list and get a photo with Santa. Santa will read holiday books provided by the Aurora Public Library and have dinner provided by Aurora Eatery. Reservations are needed.
