Receptionist/Office Assistant for Optometrist Office

The Receptionist is a full or part-time, hourly position reporting to the Office Manager. The Receptionist is responsible for daily and weekly tasks supporting office operations, patient management, customer experience, marketing and sales. 

Areas of Responsibility

The Receptionist is tasked with performing duties to keep the practice running smoothly. Although this is not an exhaustive list, your duties may include: 

-Answering Phones

-Preparing and/or mailing marketing material, patient packets, etc.

-Database management and data entry

-Supply and materials receipt and stocking

-Filing and organizing

-Running miscellaneous errands for the practice

-Scanning documents into electronic files

-Relaying messages between the Doctor, staff, patients, etc. 

Education / Experience Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age. 

Must have a Drivers License and reliable transportation to, from, and during work.

-Exceptional organization and attention to detail

-Provide outstanding customer service to everyone you come into contact with 

-Good interpersonal and communication skills

-Ability to remain flexible to changing duties and varied situations

-Unafraid to ask questions and improve processes

-Ability to work well both in a team-oriented environment and independently

-Neat and professional appearance

-Dependable and hard working

-Fluent in Spanish is a plus
